Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

THE AVARICE OF plenitude keeps you occupied 1 even till you visit the tombs. 2 But no, indeed, you shall soon know. 3 Again lo! presently ye shall know. 4 Indeed, were you to know the truth with certainty, 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 Then ye shall surely behold with the surety of vision. 7 Then on that day you will surely be asked about the verity of pleasures. 8
