Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)
8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Rivalry in worldly increase distracteth you 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 No indeed; but soon you shall know. 3 nay, again, you shall soon come to know. 4 Nay! If you knew with a sure knowledge (the end result of piling up, you would not have occupied yourselves in worldly things) 5 Ye shall certainly see Hell-Fire! 6 Then you shall most certainly see it with the eye of certainty; 7 Then, on that day, you will surely be questioned regarding the favours. 8
