Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

The excessive gathering (of increase and boasting) occupied you (from worshipping and obeying) 1 till you reached the grave. 2 You shall know. 3 Again, ye soon shall know! 4 Nay, would that ye knew (now) with a sure knowledge! 5 For ye will behold hell-fire. 6 And again, you shall see it with certainty of sight! 7 Then on that Day you shall be questioned about your worldly favours. 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
