Hoarding (Al-Takaathur)

8 verses, revealed in Mecca after Bounty (Al-Kawthar) before Charity (Al-Maa'oon)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Gross rivalry diverts you, 1 Until ye visit the graves. 2 You shall know. 3 You shall cetainly know (about the consequences of your deeds). 4 Nay, would that you knew with certainty of knowledge (what your attitude will lead to, you would never have acted the way you do). 5 you would see the fire of Hell. 6 Again, you shall surely see it with the eye of certainty 7 and on that Day you will most surely be called to account for [what you did with] the boon of life! 8

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
