The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in columns outstretched. 9
God Almighty has spoken the truth.
