The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In extended columns. 9
