The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in endless columns! 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
