The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 Who amasses wealth and considers it a provision (against mishap); 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
