The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 closed around them 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
