Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 In columns outstretched. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
