The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In extended columns. 9
God the Almighty always says the truth.
