Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
