Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 who has gathered riches and counted them over 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Verily it will close in upon them, 8 in its long columns of flames. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
