The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which will climb on to the hearts. 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9
