The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 in endless columns! 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
