The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

WOE unto every slanderer, fault-finder! 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what will explain to thee That which Breaks to Pieces? 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 roaring over the hearts 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 in extended columns. 9
