The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 in towering columns. 9
