The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 It is the fire kindled by Allah, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In columns outstretched. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
