The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 [Woe unto him who amasses wealth and counts it a safeguard, 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in extended columns. 9
God the Almighty always says the truth.
