The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 (It is) the Fire of (the Wrath of) Allah kindled (to a blaze), 6 Which penetrates the hearts 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
