The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In extended columns. 9
