The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 In extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
