The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 covered down upon them, 8 In columns outstretched. 9
