The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
