The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 Fire of Allah, Kindled, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
