Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth and counts it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 It will engulf them. 8 in columns outstretched. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
