The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 What shall let you know what the Crusher is? 5 The fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In outstretched columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
