The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extended columns. 9
