Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 Thinking that his wealth would make him last for ever! 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the Crushing Fire. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 The which doth mount (Right) to the Hearts: 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
