The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 Nay, but verily he will be flung to the Consuming One. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 roaring over the hearts 7 It shall be made into a vault over them, 8 in extended columns. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
