The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In extended columns. 9
