The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace

Woe unto every backbiter, slanderer, 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever! 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 which will rise over the [guilty] hearts: 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 in endless columns! 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
