The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 Ah, what will convey unto thee what the Consuming One is! 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 it closes in on them from every side 8 In extended columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
