The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 No! He will surely be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] fueled, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 Lo! it is closed in on them 8 In outstretched columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.

Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.

There are memorization exercises for the original Arabic and English transliterated Arabic modes only. The English translation mode has no memorization exercises.
