The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every fault-finding backbiter; 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 By no means! He shall surely be cast into the crushing torment. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 Verily, it shall be closed in on them, 8 in towering columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
