The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 No indeed; he shall be thrust into the Crusher; 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 The fire of Allah, that is ablaze. 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 covered down upon them, 8 in towering columns. 9
