The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful

Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who amasseth wealth; and counteth it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 How will you comprehend what Hutama is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 which shall oversee the hearts, 7 closed around them 8 In columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
