The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 thinking his riches have made him immortal! 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which mounts directed at the hearts. 7 closed around them 8 In pillars stretched forth (i.e. they will be punished in the Fire with pillars, etc.). 9
God the Almighty always says the truth.
