The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of God, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every slanderer, defamer, 1 Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it. 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what do you know what the Crusher is? 5 It is the fire kindled by God 6 Which mounteth up to the hearts. 7 covered down upon them, 8 in columns outstretched. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
