The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate

Woe to every scorner and mocker 1 Who accumulated wealth and hoarded it, counting. 2 thinking his wealth will render him immortal! 3 Nay, he shall be thrown into the Crusher. 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9

God Almighty has spoken the truth.
