The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe to every slanderer and backbiter 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what shall make thee know that which the Crushing Fire is? 5 (It is) the kindled Fire of Allah, 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In outstretched columns. 9

Allah the Almighty always says the truth.
