The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful

WOE TO EVERY slanderer, back-biter, 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 thinking that his property will make him live forever. 3 By no means. He will be thrown into Hutama. 4 And what will make you know what the crushing Fire is? 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 in extended columns. 9

Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
