The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful

Woe to every fault-finding back-biter, 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 Does he think that his wealth will prolong his stay on earth forever? 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 and what shall teach thee what is the Crusher; 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which rises above the hearts. 7 verily, it will close in upon them 8 In extending columns. 9

True are the words of God the Almighty.
