Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful

Woe unto every slandering traducer, 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 He thinks that his wealth will immortalise him forever. 3 By no means! They will be thrown into hutamah. 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 Verily it shall close upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
