The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 Who has gathered wealth and counted it, 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 On the contrary! He shall be flung to the Crusher. 4 Would that you understood what that crushing torment is like. 5 It is a Fire kindled by God. 6 to penetrate into the hearts. 7 Indeed it will be shut over them. 8 in towering columns. 9
True are the words of Allah the Almighty.
