The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 Who pileth up wealth and layeth it by, 2 He bethinketh that his wealth shall abide for him. 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what will make you realize what the crushing disaster is? 5 A fire kindled by God, 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 covered down upon them, 8 In pillars stretched forth. 9
