The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter. 1 who collects and hordes wealth, 2 thinking that his wealth will make him live forever. 3 By no means! He will be sure to be thrown into That which Breaks to Pieces, 4 And what could make thee conceive what that crushing torment will be? 5 It is a fierce fire created by God 6 Which leapeth up over the hearts (of men). 7 covered down upon them, 8 in outstretched columns. 9
True are the words of God the Almighty.
