The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful

Woe unto every slanderer, traducer, 1 Who amasses wealth and hordes it. 2 He thinketh that his wealth will render him immortal. 3 Nay! he shall most certainly be hurled into the crushing disaster, 4 And what have you understood what the Crushing One is! 5 The Fire of God kindled 6 Which leaps up over the hearts, 7 (And) vaults them over 8 In outstretched columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
