Al-Hummazah

The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)

9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)

In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful

Ruin is for every open slanderer, backbiter. 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 He thinks that his wealth will make him last forever! 3 Never! He will certainly be thrown into the Crushing One. 4 Would that you knew what hutamah is! 5 (It is) the fire of Allah, kindled, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Surely it shall be closed over upon them, 8 In extended columns. 9

God the Almighty always says the truth.
