The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah)
9 verses, revealed in Mecca after Resurrection (Al-Qeyaamah) before Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
Woe to every backbiter, slanderer 1 who amasses wealth, counting it over, 2 Does he think his wealth will abide for ever with him? 3 Nay! Verily, he will be thrown into the crushing Fire. 4 And what can make you know what is the Crusher? 5 It is the Fire kindled by Allah, 6 the Fire that shall rise to the hearts (of criminals). 7 Indeed, Hellfire will be closed down upon them 8 In extending columns. 9
Allah Almighty has spoken the truth.
